How to set up & get started

1. On the protected device (Android)

Install Aikona and choose “Protected Device” at sign-up.
Open the menu → “System Integrity” and grant every permission — Accessibility, Device Admin, Usage Access — and turn OFF battery optimisation.
Set location access to “Allow all the time” (for location blocking) and approve the VPN prompt (for network filtering).
Allow notifications, then set a 5-digit PIN that only you (the partner) know.
Turn on the categories, schedules and locations you want to block.
Open the menu → “Accountability Partner” to get the 6-digit link code.

2. On a partner’s Android phone

Install Aikona and choose “Partner Device” at sign-up.
Enter the 6-digit link code from the protected device.
Allow notifications to receive alerts when the app is closed.

3. Here on the web (iPhone, Mac or PC)

Sign in above with your partner account.
Enter the 6-digit code from the protected device to link it.
Click “Allow” when your browser asks about notifications — this enables background alerts even with the tab closed.
Use the Remote Monitoring switch on the dashboard to pause or resume monitoring anytime.
